Islam misconcept by general public and the answers.

In every religion, there are misconceptions and this applies to Islam as well. Here is some Islam misconception by the general public and the answer to clarify.

This is a common misconception about Islam. While it is true that there are some Muslims who engage in violence, the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful. The Quran, Islam’s holy book, actually calls on Muslims to ‘fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not aggress. God does not love the aggressors’ (Quran 2:190). So, while some Muslims do engage in violence, it is not condoned by Islam.

This is another common misconception about Islam. While it is true that there are some Islamic societies that are intolerant, this is not endorsed by Islam. The Quran actually states that ‘there shall be no compulsion in religion’ (Quran 2:256). So, while there are some Muslim societies that are intolerant, this is not due to Islam itself.

This is yet another common misconception about Islam. While it is true that there are some Islamic societies that are backwards, this is not endorsed by Islam. The Quran actually calls on Muslims to ‘seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave’ (Quran 20:114). So, while there are some Muslim societies that are backwards, this is not due to Islam itself.

Wrong. The Quran actually gives women many rights, including the right to own property, the right to seek knowledge, and the right to refuse sexual intercourse. Islam also protects women’s rights in marriage and divorce.

Wrong. The Quran actually asks both men and women to dress modestly. This includes covering the body and avoiding revealing or tight clothing. The purpose of this is to protect women’s modesty and to avoid tempting men to commit sinful acts.
